OnePeople TV is a passion project. The idea is to create a streaming platform dedicated to humanitarian and environmental issues to build awareness, pushing viewers to truly understand global issues through their own personal quest.

We all share this world and yet there are many things that divide us. Race, religion, politics, wealth, geography; even the football team we support can become a divisive issue. Our world is extremely destructive with many major ongoing conflicts, millions of migrants and refugees, ecological disasters. Despite efforts to eradicate them, figures have kept growing over the years.

Western media tends to consider the planet as a private leisure area and Western people are fed an unbalanced diet of lifestyle and phony feel-good stories. Conversely whenever images from the developing world are shown to us it is stereotyped: starving people, civil wars etc. The lack of respect to their identity and culture depicts them as a blurred mass of poor, uncultured and ‘picturesque’ people.

Onepeople TV aims to change this and offer a wider and more balanced perspective. Our concept is simple; to use the latest communications technology as a platform for education and information so to open a window into the real lives of people around the world to celebrate diversity.

The Internet has become an important source of information: people surf the net looking for reports and updates on issues they are interested in. This can be time consuming for the internauts because of the vast data available, and frustrating for the various organizations that often struggle to become visible and are lost in the net. OPTV will be the meeting point, becoming a hub where humanitarian organizations, agencies, activists and victims can raise issues related to Human Rights.
